Yarm Fellowship Hall

West Street, Yarm-on-Tees

The Fellowship Hall was established as a trust in July 1999, in order to provide a central meeting place and recreational facility for the people of Yarm and the surrounding rural communities. It exists to promote community activities, the arts, education, sport, health and to allow disabled and disadvantaged groups the opportunity to engage in comunity activities.

The hall is currently used by a wide variety of groups such as: martial arts classes, a stage school, senior citizens, a support group for parents and children, church youth groups, Blood Donor sessions, yoga classes and French Langauge classes.

The hall is available for for Weddings and Social events as well as being able to offer conference facilities.

The main hall will accomodate up to 150 people while the rear hall will accomodate 50 people.

The hall has facilities for the disabled.

All events are covered by a 'Public Entertainment Licence'.

The Trust has embarked on a programme of events to provide entertainment as well as raising funds to improve the facilities. The Trust will continue, each year, to promote events that will raise funds for the hall. This will provide opportunities for the community to participate in events and activities that would not otherwise be available.

Thank to Lloyds TSB Foundation and the National Lottery Awards for All the hall now has an inbuilt sound system and hearing loop, as well as a mobile stage. The Trustees have replaced the heating system and have installed a stage lighting system. Most recently the Trustees have upgraded the kitchen to provide a catering facility which is used for the luncheon club.

Regular lettings are listed elsewhere.
